To make a tight, consistent micro coil, one must select his gauge wire, clip it to length, then feed one end through a top hole of the coiling jig. Then, simply fit the coiling pole of desired wrap diameter into the side of the sleeve that it fits into, slide the pole into the center hole of the jig all the way, then twist the sleeve for the desired amount of wraps. Once the desired amount of wraps has been reached, removing the sleeve and pole from the jig and pulling the wire out of the jig hole is all that is required.
Sometimes, squeezing the coil might be helpful to ensure a consistently tight coil, but otherwise, this tool provides a coil that is always the same diameter with minimal hassle and no real learning.
