Are you interested in high-watt vape mods? Your usual tank might not be ready to take the power. Is it a Nautilus or an Aerotank? Both of these items (by Aspire and Kanger, respectively) are great products, but their atomizer heads cannot handle 100 watts. You need 100 watt vape tanks developed especially for use with powerful vaporizers.
How Are They Different?
Assume that the average high-watt customer is looking for clouds. He will be adjusting electronic elements of his vaping, selecting juice carefully, and airflow will also interest him. His mouthpiece needs a means of cooling hot vapor and it’s likely his juice will run out more quickly. Coils on the atomizer head have to be able to withstand sub-ohm levels, but 0.5-ohm Kanthal coils will be inadequate at the highest output. Rebuildable Tank Atomizers (RTAs) are made to handle 100 watts or more and less than 0.5 ohms; much less.
Four Atomizers
This article is going to focus on four excellent products, all costing less than $45. Each one offers multiple coil options so you don’t have to waste expensive temperature-sensitive coils on a low-watt session and low-vegetable glycerin juice. Even with a 100W or 150W device you aren’t always going to run at the highest output. These four RTAs are the UWell Crown, High Voltage Tank, Horizon Arctic, and SMOK TFV4.
Smok plans to make more coil options for the TFV4. So far, there is already the triple coil format, a quad coil, and an RBA. The top cap is uniquely hinged so you pull it out to refill and then push it back in: no screwing and unscrewing and no mess with the top-fill method.

Horizon Arctic

The Bottom Turbine Dual Coil on Horizon’s Arctic supposedly improves flavor and prevent blockage: they had the right idea, especially with the thickness of cloud-chasing juices. This is a great tank providing excellent flavor.
As is almost always the case with RTAs, the tube is glass and hardware is made from stainless steel. These heat-resistant materials don’t interfere with flavor, are hygienic, and stainless steel is non-corrosive. The Arctic holds 2.5 ml, comes with organic cotton coil, USA-made Kanthal coil, and a separate Ni200 option.

UWell Crown
UWells’ Crown is rated one of the best tanks for flavor and quality. There is no leakage, no dry hits, and you fill from the top. A top-fill system is highly convenient since your juice levels run low faster at high temperatures.
Even though TC mode and TC coils use less juice than Kanthal coils do, that’s only relative. You can run the 4-ml UWell Crown at up to 120W. It comes with 0.5-ohm and 1.2-ohm single-coil fittings, two dual coil choices, and a Ni200 head is also available.

High Voltage
This is one of the market’s cheapest tanks but it still shines, perhaps largely because of its simplicity. You don’t have to get fancy to enjoy high watts and sub-ohms and this is a very basic tank for a low price. Notice the telltale sign it was made for high-watt usage: the drip tip air valve. Adjust airflow at the top so as not to burn yourself when inhaling. Airflow control is a standard rebuildable vape tank feature.
