The people who brought you the SMY 75W also make a tank called the ePoch Atomizer. This RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) could be your key to rewarding vapor and full flavor, especially when attached to a 75W TC unit like the 75W Mini.

What Is the ePoch Atomizer RTA by SMY?

This is a standard-sized, 22-mm-wide tank for use with adjustable systems, both with variable wattage and variable temperature settings. You just have to install the appropriate coil to make things work as you plan them to.

There are two styles: silver or black, each one with contrasting orange O-rings for a bit of color and also to act as leak-guards. Those O-rings, being colored, are easier to spot than black or clear ones if you drop them too. The ePoch is just over 62 mm tall, so it is not a giant by any means.

Technological Features of the ePoch

Taking a closer look, consumers will find this entire tank is meant to come apart. Ridges in the caps help you to grip as you change airflow or take everything away from the tube to replace that part if it breaks, to remove a burned-out coil, or to clean the system fully.

The drip tip is removable as well. Take it off to give it a thorough clean or choose a different model with 510 threading and replace the tip. It’s a wide-bore item which enhances vapor production and also lets out more hot air before you inhale. This piece is also a bit high-tech in its own right with spit-back protection to stop you from tasting e liquid instead of vapor.

Coil Companion

The SMY ePoch RTA works with either Kanthal or Nickel 200 coils. Semeiyue provides these two: 0.3-ohm Variable Wattage coil made from 316 Stainless Steel; and 0.15-ohm Temperature Control coil made from Nickel 200. With these two options, you can vape between 10 watts and 60 watts according to the manufacturer.

The tank holds 4 ml maximum. When it arrives at your door the RTA is accompanied by those two coils, more silicone O-rings, cotton, extra wire, and some practical tools like screws and a driver. It looks as though you will be provided with a spare Pyrex tube as well.

More Mods in the Range

What other mods would suit the SMY ePoch? Kamry, Tesla, and SMY all make 60W devices. The Sigelei VR2 reaches 50 watts. Then there is the SMOK XPro 50. There are loads of mid-range box mods to fit an ePoch too, most of them made by other companies from Shenzhen.

More Tanks in This Style

Comparable RTAs include the Joyetech Delta 2, useful at up to 50W but probably no higher. The Herakles is fit for around 60W to 70W depending on the coils installed. With a SMOKTECH TFV4, it’s all about the coils: you can vape from 20W to 120W, no problem.

The ePoch is not as versatile, but it’s good value for the vaper who knows specifically which range he wants to operate in; one that doesn’t take him much past 50W or 60W and probably a person with TC vaping experience.

Although 60W is the recommended limit, that doesn’t mean the tank will break at 75W. That’s simply the point at which experienced vapers noticed flavor wasn’t as good or the mod stopped producing more vapor.
