What strikes you first when gazing at the Kanger TOPBOX Kit? Is it the color? Do you stand in awe of the pretty or masculine shades Kanger makes available? Perhaps you are impressed by specifications like wattage and resistance ratings for the sub tank and the fact that you can buy it in two sizes.

Whatever draws your attention, Kanger has done an excellent job with advertising, and this is one of 2016’s starter kits to watch.

Although either size of kit (original or Nano) is great value and a bestselling union, Kanger’s Toptank is worthy of a second look all on its own. Here is the Kanger Toptank sub ohm tank atomizer.

Elements of Style

Kanger’s Toptank Nano holds 3.2 ml of e liquid, but that’s one version of Kanger’s sub ohm tank. The original Toptank:

• holds 4 ml of e juice
• measures 22 mm x 45 mm
• works with an RBA deck
• is filled from the top

With an RBA deck, consumers control the build of their coil and also the material used for building: Nickel 200, stainless steel, Titanium, Kanthal, etc.

The Toptank Nano is also a great little top-fill tank and the two products share many other features. Each one is compatible with SSOCC (stainless steel organic cotton) coils rated 0.5 ohms, Claption Coils of the same resistance, and 0.15-ohm SSOCC Ni-200 coils. Airflow has been adjusted to work even better in the Nano for Kanger’s Subtank 60W TOPBOX kit. Both units are made with glass tanks.

Aesthetic Differences

There were other changes to the Toptank in its smaller size besides a reduction of 0.8 ml capacity. The original version comes in colors to match a larger machine: black, white, silver, or red. The smaller one is available in black, pink, or purple because mods are those colors too.

The idea that one set is for women and the other is for men only goes skin deep: it’s a gimmick. Lots of vaping women like a full-sized black vaping kit. On the other hand, lots of men prefer a narrow, light 60W set up over something more powerful, so Kanger supplies their Nano kit in black to accommodate.

The Nano version top-fill sub ohm tank comes with 0.5, 1.5, and 0.15-ohm coil and is compatible with a 60W TOPBOX machine or something similar like the Joye eVic VTC or Innokin Cool Fire IV. Customers are expected to use it with a TC mod at some point, adjusting the cyclops-style airflow valve to their liking and taking the whole thing apart for cleaning every so often. At the top of your 4-ml Toptank is a wide black drip tip. A Nano Toptank matches its bottom portion right to the top with a purple, black, or pink mouthpiece.

Accessories for the Toptank

Kanger equipment is so popular you’ll have no trouble finding coils, replacement tube tanks, new O-rings, or new drip tips if you lose your current set. You are more likely to lose something than for a piece to wear out. Another advantage of buying Kanger brand products is affordability, and their quality is rarely called into question.
