Beyond Vape from California carries their own brand of vape mods and tanks. You might have heard of the Sage or Beacon, two very attractive tube mods. They also make an atomizer known as the Silo. Their Silo Beast is a sub ohm performer with the potential to satisfy advanced vapers operating at moderate output.

Beyond Vape Silo Beast Tank

Beyond Vape promises this to be more than just a functional mod but it also supplies a level of beauty not commonly seen in atomizer tanks. I’m not sure everyone will feel this way: it depends on your opinion of stainless steel. While the design is attractive enough, it is very metallic. But stainless steel is more cheerful than black at least.

Big Vents

The Silo Beast features two big cyclops-style airflow vents. Really increase airflow or shut it down for a tighter draw.

Organic Cotton Quality

Organic cotton coils (usually from Japan) provide consumers with the highest quality and cleanest vapor. That is what the Silo contains: organic cotton coil from Japan. There is no skimping when it comes to the stuff you inhale into your lungs. Customers are supplied with one each of 0.5-ohm and 0.2-ohm coils sub ohm but not TC (temperature control) coils.

No mention is made of Ni200 coil heads or an RBA but the Silo accommodates Aspire Atlantis and Aspire Triton coils.

Filling your Tank

Don’t turn your tank upside down to refill it. That’s messy and inconvenient, requiring that your mod and tank be disconnected first. The 5-ml Silo Beast was among the first top-fill tanks to arrive on the market. That means you can leave mod and tank attached, prevent juice from spilling (which happens when you turn it upside down as it comes through the tip), and get back to vaping quickly. Just ensure the airflow valve is shut to prevent leakage when you refill.

Top-Class Materials

The top and bottom caps for your Silo Beast by Beyond Vape are constructed from stainless steel which does not rust and is highly resilient against typical knocks and bumps. A glass tube is covered by stainless steel, all but a small amount, so it is fairly well protected. But you can still see when e juice is running out.

Silo Beast Limitations

Beyond Vape’s sub-ohm tank is designed for mid-level products: the Sigelei 40W Mini Book, Eleaf iStick 40W vape mod, any Evolv DNA 40 (HCigar or Hana Modz etc.), and the Innokin Cool Fire IV device are good examples. The top output Beyond Vape’s atomizer can handle is about 45W.

While build quality is top notch and airflow is exceptional, consumers should not consider the Silo Beast when using an Eleaf iStick 100W unit or even a 75W mod like the iPV D2. A Smok TFV4 would be far more suitable.

Pros of the Beyond Vape Silo Beast 5-ml Tank

Beyond Vape’s stainless steel design is visually compatible with almost any color of mod. The fact that you can use Aspire coils is also really convenient since these are widely available and high quality.

Although it is not recommended to operate at higher wattage than 45W or high temperatures, this gives you the option to select nickel 200 or titanium coils which don’t burn down as quickly as other types of metal and tend to be more efficient. Its 5 ml size reduces the frequency of refills too.
