Eleaf, makers of the popular and colorful iStick VW mod series, the MELO, and LEMO Drop atomizers, have recently updated their iJust 2 tank. They made adjustments so that this tank could be used with temperature-controlled (TC) vaporizers as well as the usual VW mods and their iJust battery. New TC Version
Eleaf’s upgrades to this 5.5-ml sub ohm tank enable the user to opt for regular EC coils or TC, Ni200 coils.
To compare them, consider these factors:
• the EC head is a vertical dual coil item
• it uses Japanese organic cotton wicking
• the EC head works with 30W to 80W devices using Kanthal wire
• its lowest resistance is 0.3 ohms
• the TC coil contains high-grade nickel
• it is suitable for 30W to 60W mods
• the TC atomizer is a single coil, 0.15-ohm resistance option
It is always interesting to me that the lower resistance TC single coil atomizer is ideally suited to only 60 watts while the Kanthal is fine at higher watts. What this should tell a person is the Ni200 coil gets very hot without having to work as hard. It is safer, uses less battery power to heat, and also burns less e juice in the process.

Measurements of the Eleaf iJust 2 Atomizer Tank
This is one of the more compact tanks you will find in the sub ohm category. With the drip tip attached, this is still just 67.55 mm tall and 22 mm wide. It’s not uncommon for a tank of this style to measure over 70 mm. A chimney-style drip tip comes off by the way, so with a smaller one attached your profile will be even shorter. There are lots of short, squat ones around.
Airflow Options
Airflow control in the base changes how much vapor you produce, vapor temperature, and draw tightness. With the valve fully open, vapor is a lot cooler than if you were to shut the valve down.
Accessories for the Eleaf iJust 2 TC Atomizer
Eleaf’s product comes with the two-coil head: an EC (0.3-ohm) and Ni200 (0.15-ohm). If you want to operate a device such as the iStick 30W, you might prefer atomizer resistance a little higher, such as 0.5 ohms. A 0.5-ohm EC, 4-hole base coil head is sold separately for your convenience.
Thoughts on the Eleaf iJust 2 TC Tank
Eleaf’s new iJust tank is a lovely product, both clean and practical. Although its capacity and build quality are excellent, the tank is still light in your hand. I always prefer a transparent tank so that I can see my e juice, but these tanks can become a little too similar over time; dull really. In their defense, Eleaf gave their wide-bore drip tip a little variation with a bottom lip. You probably won’t notice any elegant extras inside a tank when it’s filled with lovely e juice anyway.
