User rating

The larger, original Cuboid operates at up to 150 watts, but a Joyetech Cuboid Mini Kit gives you slightly more than half that in potential output. What you will not lose is any of the Cuboid’s style, Joyetech’s expertise, or the company’s integrity as they seek to provide the best vaping technology available. Black, gold, gray, silver, and white are your choices of color for this vertically-oriented box mod.

A Run Down of the Cuboid Mini Kit

The Cuboid operates using a built-in battery offering 2400mAh for several hours, if not several days, of vaping on a single charge. If you tend to prefer lower watts anyway, your battery will drain slowly and you will not find yourself recharging as often. It’s nice, however, to have the choice to vape at between 1 watt and 80 watts.

Big Screen

The Cuboid might be a mini but the screen is large and bright. You get the smaller dimensions, of course, because there isn’t room for the full-sized screen. It is simply amazing, however, that Joye’s display is still pretty large.

Joyetech achieves this feat by taking over the front face and oriented their screen vertically as a large rectangle instead of a slender oval display on a skinny side of the mod. This portion reports the output your mod is set for, either temperature or watts, plus the resistance of your atomizer and how fully charged your battery is right now.

It also displays your mode and any warnings which might come up during a session. The temp range is 200F to 600F and the Cuboid mini supports 0.05 ohms or 0.1 ohms (VT or VW). Modes are VT-Ti for Titanium coils, VT-Ni for Nickel 200, VT-SS316 for when coils are made from 316 Stainless Steel, plus ByPass, TCR, and VW. TCR setting promises to supply the greatest possible accuracy. A USB port allows you to upgrade firmware.

Full Kit Version

If you buy the full kit for a Cuboid Mini, this will come with a Cuboid Mini atomizer as well. Install coils for VW, Variable Temperature, and Bypass settings as you prefer. This is a 5-ml tank but you can also fill it from the top, so fill up for hassle free, low-temperature vaping that will last several hours or set temps high and be prepared to fill from the top.

There is also an airflow valve at the top but not a lower-cap ring. That would be impossible given that the Cuboid tank is, in fact, a cube. This has got to be one of the most original tanks. The Cuboid tank comes apart so that you can replace parts, swap pieces such as coils or the tip, and also wash your tank so that vapor always tastes good.

Joyetech provides Notchcoil and BF Coils for their Cuboid line. The NotchCoil is rated for 0.25 ohms while the BF could be 0.5 ohms SS316, Clapton coils rated 1.5 ohms, or the RBA head for personal rebuilding. Two mouthpieces are included plus a USB cable.

NotchCoil and BF Coils

The NotchCoil was designed by JayBo and takes coil design to a whole other level. The surface area is notched and large. It heats up rapidly and a stainless steel element is durable and temperature-sensitive.

BF Cubis coils work with the Mini Cuboid Atomizer, an eGo A1O, and the Cubis of course. There is an SS316 version, VW compatible coils, and a TCR-suitable BF design. Ratings start at 0.2 ohms but there are low-resistance examples made from Kanthal.

BF coils supply a large surface area and a bottom-fed system utilizing organic cotton. The BF RBA deck comes with a pre-built 0.5-ohm Vertical Coil, one Horizontal 0.5-ohm coil, vent piping and silicone rings for these pipes, cotton, a spare screw, and a screwdriver.
