Innokin’s famous Cool Fire IV line gets a boost with their Aethon chipset, TC (Temp Control) and 100 Watts of power. This internal system supports 100W of power with a new feature called ClearWave noise cancelling.
This is also a TC chip, so vapers can use the Innokin Coolfire IV as a temperature control and variable wattage device at higher levels than before.
The Innokin Coolfire IV TC100 with Aethon Chip
Select this slim and ergonomic vape mod when a 3300mAh built-in battery sounds impressive. Boundaries such as 25 to 100 watts make you feel free but safe. Use this unit as a TC mod, but only when your atomizer contains Titanium, stainless steel, or Ni200 TC coils.
Otherwise, stick with variable watt vaping and put Kanthal coil builds to good use at 50 to 80 watts. It’s no coincidence that a variety of VW and TC coil replacements are available for the Innokin iSub Apex sub ohm tank, although Kanger, Horizon, Sense, Uwell, and others construct worthy RBAs too. Together, the iSub Apex and an Innokin Coolfire IV TC 100W make a good-looking and effective team.

Long-lasting Power
Be thankful the internal battery is capable of 3300mAh. That is enough to last a full day so you won’t have to recharge the cell while you were really hoping to use it. Plugging a cable between the USB port and a USB charger is no hardship when you are sleeping, but don’t forget to plug in.
The Innokin Coolfire IV is protected against over-charging. Just unhook the device from its charger when you get up to let the cat out. If you forget, there is no way to remove the cell for recharging, replacing it with a fresh one in the meantime. This could be a hassle for disorganized or forgetful individuals.

Fast Charging
It’s possible that overnight charging won’t be necessary; that just a couple of hours during the day when you wouldn’t be vaping anyway would be enough to replenish the internal battery. Innokin’s new Aethon-powered unit possesses 2A charging which is fast and reliable.
The entire aesthetic has a “fast” look about it, as though this mod with its triple racing stripes was designed for speed and athleticism. It’s certainly versatile, featuring the TC and VW modes, supporting three types of TC coil, and capable of supporting most 510-threaded tanks with spring-loaded connection. Threading is also made from stainless steel, an alloy constructed for longevity and resistance to rust.
OLED Screen
An Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC depicts the levels you choose and power levels in real time. The display shows watts, volts, resistance, battery power, and temperature. This is also where vapers find their menu of options controlled by one of three buttons on either side of the screen and where warnings or alerts are posted if the Aethon chip has to protect the device. An instruction manual defines codes.
Range of the Aethon Chip
Select stainless steel, Nickel 200, or Titanium as your Temperature Control setting. The Aethon chip gets to work in a fraction of a second, responding to your heat setting in 0.2 seconds. Resistance readings are precise to the 5th decimal place which is the 100,000th place. You will no longer experience dry hits, and consistent heating. Standby power usage is minimal.
Beauty of the Box
The Coolfire IV line was never box-shaped and Innokin doesn’t lack style with this more powerful version. It comes in four colors: red, black, blue, or white and boasts a similar gloss to the Kanger KBOX.
The Aethon chipset-powered device isn’t available yet, so if you’re in a hurry there is still the Coolfire IV Plus or, for 100W+ of style and power, an iPV4S 120W is slender and ergonomic. Perhaps the best substitute right now would be an Eleaf iStick 100W with its slender, rounded design and dual replaceable batteries.
