Don’t think of Sigelei’s latest foray into regulated vape mods as a step backwards. The top wattage number is lower than in previous instances, yes (they offer 100W and 150W mods as well).

Think of the 75W TC mod this way: a new direction.

VW mods are fantastic and have brought many hours of vaping joy to consumers around the country. TC (temperature control) vape mods, however, add another dimension to vaping.

Saving Money

At first, you can expect to pay more for a TC device than a standard VW mod. The firmware is more sophisticated after all. Later on, though, you will probably see some significant differences in the costs of vaping; the kinds that add up given enough time.

As special coils used to operate in temperature control mode grow hot, they take their time but also hold onto their power easily. Some metals lose heat rapidly, which is why mods are always feeding them more power.

Batteries wear out rapidly when you are always running a device in the top third of its heating parameters. Batteries don’t have to work so hard in order to keep coils topped up with heat when they’re made from high quality metal.

Sigelei 75W TC Specifications

So you already know the top wattage value; that range starts at 5 watts. Battery voltage range is 3.2 volts to 4.2 volts and 25 Amps is the threshold for output current. Temperature on the Sigelei 75W TC mod is also adjustable: from 100C to 350C (212F to 662F).

That latter number is a little high as most vape mods only reach a maximum of 600F and sometimes only 572F, but this is the limit Sigelei considers safe. Their built-in control chip sees to it that watts never exceed 75 and temperature never tops 662F while also portraying these figures on a screen.

Rectangular Display

While it’s fashionable to create a rounded side where the battery is inserted in order to design a mod that is comfortable in your hand, Sigelei chose to be highly practical here. The 75W TC is just a box: you don’t find any embellishment or adjustment to the shape except that corners are rounded and edges are beveled.

A rectangular screen reinforces this highly geometric shape. The 18650 high-drain battery you need to operate this 75-watt temperature controlled device is sold separately. Remove a small magnetic back door and replace almost-dead batteries with fully charged ones.

Atomizer Resistance

This 75-watt mod supports a range of atomizer resistance from 0.05 to 2.5 ohms. The proviso here is that if you want to operate at the lowest resistance, you must be in temperature control mode using Nickel 200 wire. You will have to select an advanced tank in order to do that. The Eleaf Melo 2 is one example. Vendors also suggest tanks like the Kanger Subtank, Horizon Arctic, and SMOK TFV4.

Protecting Vapers

The Sigelei 75W TC mod’s built-in chip is a safeguard, not just a control piece. It prevents circuitry shorting out and eliminates the possibility of overheating or high input voltage. Electronic extremes won’t be a problem. Venting at the mod’s base lets out some of the heat that builds up around a battery, thus helping to protect the vaper and his machine.

Select a Color

The front part of your new mod is available in a few muted, neutral shades; nothing funky you would take to the club. I would compare their style with that of the Aspire Pegasus: classy in a modern way. Ask for Antique Copper, Brushed Nickel, or Pearl Chrome.
