This is the first atomizer to use something they call an open wicking system, at least according to Wismec, so let’s find out more about this tank with the intelligent name.
Wismec Theorem RTA
Airflow is controlled at the top with a ring you simply turn to let in more air or to close it out. A juice plug for the top-flow valve stops e-liquid from leaking when you refill. Wismec utilizes a leak-proof sleeve which makes rebuilding and refilling easy, so you can carry your bottle around and drip as usual but with a more user-friendly format.
Anticipated Pre-Order Item
Since Wismec’s tank has not been released yet and is merely on the pre-order list, there are a few things even experts can’t tell you until they have the device in their hands. What we do know is that it is made from stainless steel which is the most durable, resistant metal around, at least if you don’t want an atomizer that feels like a lump of lead in your pocket.
Glass portions are Pyrex, that fantastic, inert, durable type of glass which lets you see your e juice and withstands problematic e juices that cause damage to synthetic tank tubes. Keep the glass clean and this Rebuildable Tank Atomizer from Wismec will really sparkle.
New Notch Coil
This is the part that we really need to get our hands on and take a closer look at. From what we can see here, the open wicking system is part of JayBo’s Notch coil design and suggests that your e juice and the coil enjoy optimum contact. The result is that e juice vapor tends to be a lot thicker. It’s too early to say whether this will be superior to BDVCs (Bottom Dual Vertical Coils) or even the Bottom Turbine Coil (BTC), both of which have yielded excellent results.
Odd O-Rings
A mystical quality is created by unusually-colored O-rings visible through the glass tank. They are listed as cyan, a shade of blue, and they seem to glow like some kind of alien material. These are slightly ghostly, a little bit sci-fi, and incredibly distinctive. If a vaper’s choice of mod is colored stainless steel or cyan (like one of Joyetech’s models) these will look just right.
Moderate Size
Wismec’s new RTA measures 46.25 x 22 mm, so it won’t add a lot to the overall heaviness of your setup. As for e juice capacity, that hardly matters when you can refill through the top. Apply this RDA to any VW/TC or unregulated device.

A Wismec Theorem RTA is packaged with one single and one dual airflow ring, a glass sleeve lined with stainless steel plus the Notch coil, cotton, and three of those cyan-colored O-rings made from silicone. Customers also receive a Hex key and 4 screws plus a manual. A mouthpiece, also included, is made from Pyrex glass. As an RTA, the Theorem comes apart completely, so the owner is able to fully maintain it by checking parts and cleaning them regularly.
