Innokin iTaste CLK Sport
The original iTaste CLK is a small item: about 800 mAh in various pretty colors, sold with a tinted clearomizer to match the base, and featuring a built-in battery. The Sport version of a CLK carries on the same lines and shades but is more powerful and features an alternative design.
Instead of parallel traveling lines, this one is engraved with athletes in motion, about to dunk a basketball, kick a soccer ball, or throw a football. The 5 styles available represent these three sports: one blue and one black soccer battery, one black and one pink basketball battery, and a single white image of a footballer player. On this last one, two yellow stripes contrast the clean white background.
Other Elements of Design
Scalloped edging along a top collar bears the repetition of a single image: the ball associated with whatever sport is represented. Since a scallop is a half circle, the football looks a little out of place, but it still works and is rhythmically repeated both here and at the bottom. Instead of arrows to indicate where a wattage level sits, Innokin uses the balls again.
Variable Wattage
You can adjust voltage on two other iTaste CLK batteries, but this one lets you set wattage: from 7.5W to 12W by 0.5W increments all the way along. That 1280-mAh battery is built into the base, so you have to charge this via USB using the cable Innokin sends out. That battery power can drain quickly if you are a heavy vaper, so it’s useful to know what level you are at.
There’s no screen, so you needed something to tell you what’s going on inside this simple device. All Innokin iTaste e cigs are built with an LED light that changes color and is based behind the firing button. It tells you that the battery is low (with a red light), about 50% (using yellow), or substantially charged (a green light).
Attach a Clearomizer
The CLK Sport measures 113 mm by 18 mm, so to create continuity of appearance your clearomizer should measure 18 mm. Which ones will work? Lower Power
An 800-mAh CLK can be adjusted too: from 3.5 to 5 volts. It can’t emulate the power of a CLK Sport, but its smaller size is preferred by vapers who feel more comfortable holding a delicate vape pen.
