The perfect design for a sub ohm atomizer would be a combination between an RDA and a tank. That’s what the Moonshot aims to be: a tank with limited capacity vapers can fill from the top and incorporating a removable rebuild deck so consumers are able to wrap coils.
The Sigelei Moonshot is, thus, referred to as an RTA: a rebuildable tank atomizer as opposed to merely a rebuildable atomizer (with replaceable coil heads) or RDA (dripping atomizer, no tank).
Features of the Moonshot
This distinctive product is topped by a 6-mm wide Delrin “crater,” good enough reason for its name, but also replaceable using the 510 drip-tip adapter supplied. That wide opening allows lots of vapor to flow out.
A 2-ml tank is fine since maximum capacity is unnecessary when you can drip through the top portion. Sigelei’s two-post deck also supplies two Cyclops-type wide air holes feeding air onto the rebuild deck.
Side-tension posts 6-mm tall create the ideal setting for complicated coil designs such as the Clapton style. A PEEK insulator keeps e juice hot while the deck supports both dual- and single-coil configurations.

The Moonshot by Sigelei measures 22 mm across for compatibility with both 18650 mechanical mods and any size of adjustable box mod. Sigelei makes a few excellent ones like their 90W Plus TC, and Fuchai 200W TC.
The height of your tank is just 42 mm and the “crater” is built-in. Sigelei uses 304 Stainless Steel to construct hardware but the tank is composed of Pyrex glass; the most durable type there is. It won’t cloud when you fill up with a refreshing citrus e juice.
Look after Your Sigelei Moonshot Rebuildable Tank Atomizer
Whether you fill this tank with gourmet liquid from King’s Crown or affordable Mount Baker Vapor e juice, it is going to get dirty. A single flavor of e juice mixing with the remnants of another could create an unpalatable mixture.
Meanwhile, you have had your mouth on this thing which, as your mother surely told you, means the mouthpiece is covered with germs not to mention fingerprints. Clean regularly, at least once daily, detaching every removable part and getting into crevices where germs and drips of liquid hide.
Moonshot RTA Package
The Sigelei Moonshot RTA comes with a spare glass tube because that’s usually the first thing to crack or break in spite of its durable construction and your best efforts to be gentle. Sigelei saves you time knowing it could be a matter of hours before you need to order a new one.
You receive two more screws because they get lost quicker than blinking, two Allen Keys, and a set of O-rings to replace the ones that are already installed. They wear out and lose their tension, so keep an eye out for leaks as a way to determine when they should be replaced, but don’t play with them: this isn’t a toy.
