Aspire’s most recent tank is the Triton, niftily named to maintain the nautical, mythological theme taken up with their tank series (Atlantis, Nautilus). The Triton is a rebuildable tank with optional RBA. Buy the set for under $40 or complete the kit with the RBA deck if you build your own coils.
Features of the Triton
The Aspire Triton is a sleeved tank covered in stainless steel with large windows. This sleeve reinforces a Pyrex tube. Keep it safe from knocks which might have cracked your uncovered tank. Pyrex is sturdy, but with the cover it is even sturdier and you can still see your e juice so you know when to refill.
With Pyrex you can choose any juice and it will not crack the tube; not even a cinnamon-menthol mixture. The assembled tank measures 73.5 mm x 22.5 mm: suitable for 50W box mods and larger. On the iStick Mini it would appear enormous.
Airflow and Juice Controls
Adjust the amount of air or juice going into your atomizer. With airflow control, you can enjoy mouth to lung or direct lung inhalation: just turn the dial. Juice flow control is adjustable according to the size of your coil: 0.3 to 1.8 ohms.
A vent near the drip tip cools vapor before you inhale it. When the vapor is too hot you can’t really taste it, but once cooled you get the full force of its flavor with all of the nuances present in gourmet flavors. Vapers also refill their e juice from the top, so they do not have to turn their RTA upside down, take off the bottom cap, and drip in liquid. The top-fill method is a much tidier way to refill vapor juice.
Rebuild your Coil
Using the RBA head you can choose a type of wire (Kanthal, Nichrome, Ni200, etc.) and create the resistance you want. Aspire suggests which gauge of wire is suitable for particular wattage variations: the lowest for up to 30W and about 0.3 ohms; the highest gauge for between 15W and 20W and 0.9 ohms. These measurements assume a consumer is using standard Kanthal coil.
In Your Package
The Aspire Triton is packaged with 0.4- and 1.8-ohm coils made from Japanese organic cotton to ensure crisp, flavorful vapor. Filament is constructed from 316L stainless steel, so it is exceptionally clean. The kit comes with a standard sleeve and tube but you can also purchase separate sleeves which have been hollowed out.
They form classic filigree design or the shape of skulls. The RBA Kit is available where the Aspire Triton is sold. An Aspire Triton also comes with a removable drip tip: use any sort you like, maybe a skull to go with the hollowed-out skull sleeve.
