CloudV, a vape-making company from Glendale, California, makes the sturdy portable Electro vaporizer. This $250 machine combines clean, minimalist design with functionality. The CloudV Electro is destined to win fans among wax-vapers but isn’t your best choice for a stealthy vape.

Portable E-Nails

What is this: E-nails? The “E” represents “electronic” and you know what nails are if you vape waxy materials. Are you having trouble with the concept that this is a portable system? Put away your preconceptions; it is possible to vape using a nail on a mobile, rechargeable system. This is a wireless vaporizer for wax and there are no wicks or coils to deal with.

Power for the People

Then how is it getting all the power needed to heat up waxes? That’s easy, basic, and widespread technology: the rechargeable cell. Most people have them in many devices around the home or office. Your laptop, flashlight, e cig, and phone all contain rechargeable cells and sometimes removable batteries you can replace with freshly charged ones.

Not in this case: the 6000-mAh battery stays put to recharge. Charge up the cell as soon as you take the Electro out of its box. This should take several hours, so be patient. Later recharging sessions won’t take as long. As CloudV says, you are simply conditioning the battery.

Use the CloudV Electro

There are just two settings: 800F and 1000F. If that sounds hot you are obviously used to e liquid mods or dry herbs that would burn at such high values. Waxes need a little more heat to reach their full potential than either of those materials do, yet the battery won’t overheat and explode if vapers behave responsibly.

When you are in the first setting, a blue light glows to say you are ready. That light turns red at 1000F fittingly, as though CloudV is saying one is cool and the other is hot. It’s all relative, I suppose. Turn off the machine when it’s not in use and give it a chance to rest between hot sessions.

Aqua Bubbler

The cylindrical black battery base is part one; part two is the glass water attachment. Many vapers consider water vaping superior to direct draw without water. It’s smooth, especially at high temperatures.

You’ll need to activate the machine by pressing the “on” button rapidly three times. Press and hold for four seconds in order to change the heat setting. When the light is on you will notice water is bubbling too.

Screw this piece on and unscrew it with care, both to maintain threading sharpness but also to prevent cracking. Do not over-tighten as this is likely to crack the glass. A clean bubbler will ensure excellent flavor, so keep your system sparkling as directed in the manual included with your purchase.

Compact Machine

The Electro is portable but not pocket-sized. It will not fit in your pocket at 11 inches by 1.6 inches. It is smaller when you take off the glass, of course, and no one would tuck a glass bubbler in his pocket, but you will probably want to load it discretely into a large purse or bag with your bubbler and titanium dish nail.
