Horizon is well known for their sub ohm Rebuildable Tank Atomizers these days. They came out of nowhere to overtake some of the top names with their excellent, anti-leak designs.

The Horizon Arctic Turbo Tank is one of these devices; a must-have in your collection of rebuildable sub ohm e liquid tanks and affordably priced despite its many selling points.

Airflow for Vapor Clouds

Airflow valves in an RTA perform two functions. One is to change draw resistance and create more or less vapor. Another is to cool vapor or make it warmer before it reaches the vaper’s mouth and lungs. Many people select tight or loose draw depending on whether they look for lung inhalation or mouth inhalation. Vapers love having that choice.

The Horizon Arctic Turbo Tank provides two airflow valves: one at the bottom as is usual with high-end tanks; the other at the top end. Both are adjustable and designed not to leak.

RTA/RBA Coil Heads

Here is something you don’t usually encounter: a sextuplet coil head. There are three chambers but each one contains dual coils. This gives you many options when wrapping coils for minimum resistance and optimum power load.

Wrap three dual coils and you can operate the Arctic Turbo Tank at 120W making it among the most powerful RTAs you can buy. An RBA head is sold separately and no mention is made of temperature-sensitive coils, but that is where you would apply the RBA head and wrap your own coils.

Best Materials

The Arctic Turbo is made from top-class materials including stainless steel. The body is constructed from 304 stainless steel (medical grade) and the drip tip, a 510-threaded wide-bore piece, is also stainless steel and removable. Your tank is a Pyrex tube so it’s very durable and completely neutral, having zero impact on the flavor of your e liquid.

Using stainless steel as opposed to a lesser alloy provides a non-corrosive surface. Your atomizer won’t rust. Also, threads are likely to last longer without becoming frayed or soft. The application of 304 stainless steel makes the Arctic Turbo a hygienic option too.

Other Spec

This is not a huge tank at 3.5 ml but it is sleek and classy looking. Horizon chose not to stylize their tank, sticking instead with a modern and clean look.

Its 22.5 mm width still appears somewhat narrow owing to its length. You will notice it’s a little wider than most mechanical mods which measure half a millimeter less. As part of your box mod set-up, however (the Tesla or iPV4-S 120W), width isn’t too important.
