If you are too impatient to wait for a new starter kit from one of the world’s leading vape manufacturers, avert your eyes; this will only be torture. Kanger is about to release a new starter set, but vapers will have to wait for a little while still.
And then, even if you place an order now, the popularity of this brand new product for cloud chasers might mean you are put on a waiting list.
I am talking about Kanger’s KONE set featuring the Kanger Pangu tank and a new KONE vaping device.
Kanger KONE Starter Kit
The kit will be packaged to contain one mod, one tank, and a few extras plus instructions to ensure vapers know what to do with the advanced equipment in their hands. The two pieces make a perfect match as one would expect given they originate from the same place and, presumably, the same R&D team.
Kanger Pangu
Images highlight the minimalism of Kanger’s new RBA. Where the Topbox is available in bright colors, this one is more industrial. This is a man’s accessory or a tank for women who don’t like all that girlie stuff.
The Pangu is available in black, gray, or stainless. The 3.5-ml tube is topped by a black, insulated, wide-bore mouthpiece so you let out lots of vapor and don’t burn your lips.
Fill the tube with e juice from the top; no disconnection needed. These days, this is the only way to do it. Even Kanger’s newest EVOD cartomizer is filled from the top.
Kanger supplies stainless steel heads for 0.5-ohm vaping; that is, for sub ohm cloud production in the temperature control setting of your favorite TC device. NiChrome coils for 1.5-ohm resistance are also supplied.
Kanger refers to these as PGOCC or organic cotton coils. Remove coil heads without touching e juice. Gently pull them straight out through the top for the easiest, cleanest change ever.
Select a rate of e liquid flow and also airflow. These two elements contribute to the output of your machine but also the way you inhale. Advanced vapers frequently use the DL method, but MTL is an option, thanks to two airflow openings. Kanger also alludes to a design which stops moisture build-up, but customers will have to comment further as they experiment with their new system.
As always, the Kanger Pangu RBA is made using glass and stainless steel. These produce the cleanest flavor and the longest-lasting construction plus reliable threading. Each part can be detached: from the mouthpiece to the base.
Kanger KONE
A 3000mAh battery is already inside this device so vapers will be recharging via USB. A tiny port is featured well below a huge rectangular power button which spans one narrow side and wraps over slightly, like a big band-aid.
There is no other button; no OLED screen. Images suggest the presence of something at the top, but this could be the LED battery-light indicator. Colors correspond with battery charge so you are notified when to start recharging.
Consumers are used to viewing a screen to read this information if they are accustomed to box mods, but the KONE is not user-regulated. It’s a better starting model for newly experienced vapers than, say, an iPV 5 by Pioneer4You with its various settings. Minimum resistance is 0.1 ohms, achievable using a TC coil.
Kanger has built a PCB into their device as always. This is a must for personal safety. This part controls how hot the device will become and maximum wattage or minimum resistance. The top output is probably around 50W judging by the coils featured in a kit.
Who Is This for?
The KONE starter kit is a box-type mod, very simple, and easier to use than most other box mods available today. It’s for someone who likes the geometric shape but dislikes fiddling with controls and isn’t addicted to watching the display or connecting a vape mod to a Smartphone app. This is the most basic form of high-tech vaping.
