All-in-one vape mods are a bit trendy right now, what with the Kanger Nebox, Aspire Plato, and several versions of the Joyetech eGrip grabbing attention and selling like crazy. Their format is small, robust, and easy to use.
It makes for a hassle-free experience and a vape-ready system that slides easily into any space, even a corner of a space. You really don’t need much. If you’ve got e juice ready in the tank or a bottle handy and an 18650 battery in a cool dark place, any time is cloud-chasing time.
Kanger EVOD Pro Tube Mod
In addition to the three mentioned above, Kanger now introduces their latest all-in-one vape mod: the EVOD Pro. Kanger’s new device, available for pre-order, only resembles the EVOD in a few superficial ways.
This is a tube mod with one button resting flush against the frame. Your e juice tube is partially covered by a steel exterior. Otherwise, that’s it. Almost everything about the Pro is different from its eGo-type predecessor.
EVOD Pro Specs
For example, the base is not a battery but a control tube. Consumers will have to buy a high-amp 18650 battery to go with the kit. It’s not supplied. Buy two while you’re at it so that one of them is always charged up.
The switch is not round or silver, it’s a short black rectangle. Instead of the narrow drip tip as seen on a regular EVOD tank, this one is a short, insulated mouthpiece designed to keep hot vapor away from vapers’ lips. This tip is also wide to allow lots of vapor through.
The top part is connected to your mod, not detachable, although the top cap comes off so you can refill the glass tank. You don’t have to worry about connecting threads wearing down and this also shortens the overall length of your device.
Inside the tank you will find a removable CLOCC: child lock organic cotton coils. Replacements will be available in two styles, one of them the 0.15 Ni 200 temperature-sensitive coil and the other a 0.5-ohm SS316 coil rated for 15W to 60W. The device is not regulated by its owner, however, but wattage or temperature are established when you install one of these coils.
That peek-a-boo window is not quite as secretive as the one seen on a small EVOD, the type with a narrow view to your e juice level. The Kanger EVOD Pro top part exposes a large rectangle of glass tube so you can see clearly how much e juice remains before you are going to be refilling or quitting for the time being. Being covered to such an extent, this protects the tank from getting knocked around.
Mouth-To-Lung (MTL) Vaping
Usually, airflow control is the consumer’s purview. He adjusts one or more valves to establish a tight or airy draw. With the valve adjusted he then chooses a mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung style of inhalation. Kanger has designed the EVOD Pro for MTL vaping only.
There is a small airflow valve under the drip tip, but it does not appear to be adjustable. Perhaps this is the more common style of vaping or maybe this is the best method for newly advanced vapers. More will be revealed soon as the EVOD Pro hits shelves.
Color or EVOD Pro Kits
Starter kits are sold in four colors, those being red, silver, black, and white. Whatever hue you choose, the tip and button will always be black. There is no screen, so owning and applying a good-quality reader for ohms and watts is advisable.
Do justice to the glass tank and advanced output of this machine by filling it with top-class e liquid by people such as Halo, NicQuid, or from the Vaporfi Grand Reserve series. Since output is limited, you can expect Kanger’s vivid line up of EVOD Pro tube mods to be affordably priced.
