Wattage Control

Set the Kangertech TOPBOX anywhere from 7 watts to 75 watts for a full range of vaping possibilities. Set the mode to “Wattage” using the main power button at the top of your control line (the largest button). Adjust watts by pressing “plus” or “minus.” A bright screen between buttons displays power settings as you scroll up or down through the possible values.

Temperature Control (TC)

Do the same for temperature control: choose “TC” mode using the same button and adjust up or down. Select from the usual range of temperature (up to around 600F) and install a tank fitted with a TC coil of 0.1 ohms resistance or more.

The TOPBOX 75W TC works with Nickel, Kanthal, Titanium, and NiCr, but only Nickel and Titanium are suitable for TC mode. This is the mode to choose when you are experimenting with high quality e juices priced $1 per/ml, with “Reserve” in the title; juices you were saving for a special occasion.

Temperature-sensitive Coil

The Kangertech TOPBOX Mini Starter Kit comes with a TOPTANK Mini sub ohm atomizer tank. The 4-ml TOPTANK Mini fills from the top for mess-free replenishment and the ease of keeping your tank installed while re-filling. A 510-threaded well allows you to use other tanks too, but the top-fill tank that comes with your kit was designed to look and fit just right. It’s also compatible with 75W output and TC operation.

Included Coils

The TOPTANK Mini 4-ml TC atomizer tank by Kangertech arrives with a Clapton coil (0.5 ohms), stainless steel organic cotton coils (SSOCC, 0.5 ohms), a 0.15-ohm Ni200, an RBA Mini Plus, and accessories for the RBA. An RBA allows you to build your own coil to whatever resistance you like using the material you prefer. Basically this is a versatile tank. If you wanted to take it off and apply the TOPTANK Mini atomizer to another vaporizer, it would create vapor like a vape-mod star.

Recharge Power

The battery can be recharged in two ways: keep it inside the mode and attach a USB cable between the micro port on your mod and a laptop or other USB power source; or remove the battery and boost it at your regular charger. Customers do not receive a battery with their purchase, so you have to pick one of those up while ordering the mod.

A vape vendor will tell you which one to buy, but this mod is currently on pre-order, so you can’t load it with any battery right now. Kanger recommends getting in line as quickly as possible to order yours. Back to recharging: access is at the rear where you put your hand around the softly rounded battery door. It comes off easily with no screws to lose but holds tight in the meantime.

Pick Your Color

Kangertech advertises their TOPBOX Mini Starter Kit in red, black, silver, and white, but you will have to take what you can get if you do not order soon. Each one is shiny from their trademark ceramic finish. Only the black mod features red buttons; the others use black ones.
