Glancing at the name for this Eleaf kit, I got mixed up and thought it was called the pogo stick. There is absolutely no resemblance between this high-tech Eleaf device and a pogo stick but many features you will recognize from their iStick line.
Compact Name
A “pico” is defined in the dictionary as one-trillionth of a second. That is even less than a nano second (one billionth of a second). I think Eleaf iSmoka is trying to tell us their kit is very compact. It contains a single removable 18650 battery sold separately, reaches 75W, operate in TC mode, and the Melo III Mini tank supplied with the kit contains just 2 ml of e juice.
Controls and Display
An OLED display depicts wattage, voltage, and the resistance of your Melo III coil. Two switches for changing output are established at the bottom next to battery ventilation holes while a power button is set into the top-side above a display screen and USB port.
USB Port
Although a port is installed, consider saving this for firmware upgrades rather than USB recharging. It will take less time if batteries recharge using a wall adapter and inserting a fresh battery will allow you to vape wirelessly. With the iStick, vapers have traditionally been able to use their mod as a pass-through device though, so this could be an option once more.
Flask-like Appearance
Both sides are rounded which, with threading like a cap at the top, projects a flask-like image as though the device doesn’t hold vaping power at all but whiskey or bourbon. This image is reinforced by the classy combination of tones: trim made from brushed stainless steel next to a black chassis. Many would associate this with masculine gifts and might consider this for Father`s Day.
Melo III Mini Tank
This version of the Melo tank holds up to 2 ml of e-liquid. Vapers can refill e-juice from the top. Advantages to a top-fill system include not having to dismantle the tank to refill from the bottom nor having to remove it from the mod. A 2-ml tank is also short and helps support a compact style.
The Melo III perpetuates the clean look of a Pico mod.
Airflow control is built into a stainless steel lower cap which can be unfastened from the glass tank. A Delrin-insulated mouthpiece protects your mouth from hot vapor.
iStick Pico Kit in Summary
Your device, remember, does not come with a battery, so pick up two: one to use right away and another to keep handy and charged when the other runs out of voltage. Use only high-quality 18650-type cells. The Pico will run in several modes: variable wattage, Temperature Control with titanium, Nickel 200, or stainless steel, TCR low, medium, or high power, and bypass.
The lowest setting is 1 watt, so you can be very precise about how many watts you want. TC thresholds are 200F to 600F or 100C to 315C, also very precise. An iStick Pico will support 0.05 to 1.5 ohms if you are in one of the Temperature Control modes including TCR. If you prefer to vary wattage, the range is 0.1 to 3.5 ohms.
An Eleaf iStick Pico Kit contains the mod, Melo III, a pre-installed 0.3-ohm head, and a 0.5-ohm spare coil head. A USB cable, manual, and extra silicone O-rings are also included.
