Sometimes it seems there isn’t really any difference between tanks except a logo on the side. What do we need all of these confusing choices for? Well, you can’t argue with the effects of competition.

It might be confusing, but thanks to the many tanks out there for sub ohm vapers, we can find something like the Sense Baijiada Mermaid V2 tank costing about $20 but operating like a higher-priced RBA. Competition inspires the creation of low-cost, quality products.

Specifications of the Sense Baijiada Mermaid V2 Rebuildable Tank Atomizer

The first thing that strikes me about the Baijiada Mermaid V2 is that it is a top fill tank. Vapers have become spoiled lately with their top-fill products like the TFV4 by SMOK and the Kanger Toptank, and here’s another one. It is quite a convenient feature.

This 2-ml top-fill RBA also provides adjustable airflow from the bottom cap which, like the top portion, is constructed from stainless steel. The two parts hold a Pyrex tank which is ideal for e juice. Not only is this a neutral medium (it does not release its own vapors when heated and will not affect the flavor of e juice) but glass can handle all types of e liquids. That goes for anything that cracked polycarbonate and acrylic tanks you owned before.

Coil Compatibility

Sense makes a great tank called the Herakles. This sub ohm product is another of the best e juice tanks on the high-watt, TC market. Coils for the Herakles can also be used in the Baijiada Mermaid V2 and a 0.4-ohm Herakles Plus coil is already installed for you to vape from 30 watts and up.

Simple, Small Style

What do vape experts have to say about V2 of the attractive Mermaid with its profile of a beautiful sea-dwelling lady inside? They refer to it as a good tank for the price. In other words, you could get maximum performance elsewhere or find a tank suitable for higher watts and temperature control, but Sense’s rebuildable, affordable tank is a good buy. If you are the usual vaper operating an iStick 30W or a DNA 40 machine, you have made a good purchase with this sub ohm suitable RBA.

With the Mermaid, you can vape at up to 100 watts using 316L SS coils rated 0.2 ohms, but also Ni200, TC coils made by Sense for 0.2 ohms as well. Experts also point out that top-fill tanks are taller but the Mermaid maintains a lower profile at 41 mm and 22 mm wide; the typical width of a tube mod and suitable for narrow Variable Watt box mods too.

In the Box

You receive a single 0.4-ohm Kanthal coil already installed plus a drip tip insulated with Delrin. That is going to protect your mouth from the heat of vapor created with a 100-watt device like the iStick 100W.

Pick up extra coils with your initial purchase and, if you already operate a Sense Herakles, they will work with that tank or your new purchase. The Baijiada Mermaid V2 by Sense with quad-control airflow is available in black or stainless, but that insulated wide bore tip is always black.
