Would someone please explain what TFR (Temperature Factor of Resistivity) means? I think I’ve got a handle on TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance), but as far as search engines are concerned they are exactly the same thing.
I like to think the best of people, including box mod designers, and would hate to think that Sigelei had merely created an impressive sounding gimmick with their new Fuchai 213W TC vape mod.
Multiple Modes
I guess this is as good a place to start describing the new Fuchai as any. You will notice a variety of modes offered by Sigelei, mostly in keeping with the latest upgrades to other models by many manufacturers.
There is the regular VW setting for varying watts between 10W and 213W, chosen as a highly specific value compared with the usual 200 watts. TC mode is actually three settings: one for Ni200, another for stainless steel coils, and a third used when you operate the Sigelei Fuchai 213W TC with a Titanium atomizer coil. TCR is a more precise version of TC mode and TFR is the wild card here. Users will have to wait and see if this really takes off or is superfluous.
Soft Build
Although the Sigelei Fuchai 213W TC box mod is sturdy, it’s still a lightweight device because of modern materials and technology. These allow vape manufacturers to compete in the mobile market, definitely the only way to go.
Vapers want more power than an eGo can muster but aren’t content to carry around a mod the size and weight of a car battery in order to get it. Aluminum provides the internal frame and contrasting interface panel set into a carbon fiber exterior which is also soft to hold.
Sigelei’s design boasts only a subtle convex curve for the sake of ergonomics and measures 88 x 44 x 29 mm. Seen in the hands of a consumer, it’s really very small for something that can pump out so much vapor.
Making Vapor
You can really chase clouds, thanks to the wide range of power options. There’s the wattage spectrum mentioned above plus a maximum of 570F which is a little low compared with many other mods (600F is far more common), but the chipset inside Sigelei’s device aims at making your experience a little safer too.
With this as your maximum temperature, you might convince a non-vaping spouse that vaping isn’t really that dangerous: the maximum is less than 600F after all. Try this argument out and you might ease a few worries, although box mods are potentially dangerous machines in the hands of inexperienced or arrogant consumers.
Atomizer Resistance
The lowest you can go here is 0.1 ohms, presumably in one of the TC modes. Your highest acceptable build is 3 ohms. Again, I must assume this is the top rating for variable wattage. A few really good atomizer tanks are suitable for high-watt systems like this one, good examples being the TFV4 by SMOK and the Uwell Rafale which support RBA decks so that vapers can wrap coils to 0.1 ohms using any type of coil they prefer. Coils for these systems are extremely well made using the best cotton for pure tasting vapor.
Comparison
Sigelei released a version of the Fuchai last year, named for a warrior Emperor from centuries past. It was a more colorful system; energetic and youthful. The newest Fuchai presents a stoic appearance better suited to the board room and a middle-aged, serious type of vaper. I tend to think of the Aspire ESP when viewing the new Fuchai.
