SMOK gives their clients a lot of hardware choices: box mods, mechanical mods, and tanks. They are always adjusting designs and keeping up with innovations.

Here they cut back the size of their excellent TFV4 sub ohm atomizer tank to provide a smaller version that is still compatible with high-powered vaporizers: the SMOK TFV4 Mini.

Contents of the Kit

Your new RTA should come with a 0.35-ohm core, 0.4-ohm core, TF-RCA core, replacement tube, seal gaskets, an airflow tip, vape bands, cotton, and a screwdriver. This is a loaded box with many small pieces, so be careful opening it up. They also produce a Mini Single Kit with just the tank and a silicone ring.

Two Color Choices

Select a tank of plain stainless steel or coated black. If you opt for black, SMOK supplies red O-rings for contrast so your tank looks bad in a good way.

Top Fill Orientation

The top cap swivels open like a top hat held to one side so you can refill e juice from this opening. You do not have to tip the tank upside down to refill e liquid. SMOK supplied a double layer of insulation for the tip so you will not burn your lips and the top cap/tip features airflow control, just like the base.

Smaller SMOK Design

SMOK designed the TFV4 Mini to smaller dimensions because vape mods are becoming smaller. They wanted their RTA to look and feel compatible with as many of those devices as possible.

Internally Yours

SMOK has chosen organic cotton coil heads for your vapor pleasure. Organic cotton leaves no film and, thus, no residue in juice either. Your experience is simply tastier.

More coils have been released: a TF-CLP2 0.35, 90W coil; the TF-S6 sextuple coil head for 0.4 ohms and up to 100W; and the TF-RCA rebuildable head with a four-post single coil build and airflow tip.

Three optional coil cores are the TF-Ti for 0.33 ohms and up to 600F; the TF-N2 Nickel 200 Dual Coil head compatible with 0.12 ohms and up to 600F; and the TF-N2 Air offering the same boundaries as a TF-N2 but with two extra air holes.

The TF-T2 and TF-T2 Air cores are also optional. These are dual-coil heads for 45W and 1.5 ohms so excellent when your vaporizer is the iStick 20W or 40W rather than an eVic VTC.

Separate Core Chambers

SMOK uses what they call “separate chamber design” to keep coil heads apart. This is to “improve the stability and reduce the interference” between coils. Each coil sits inside its own cylindrical space.

Drip Tip Decisions

Choose the regular drip tip or a TFV4 Mini Drip Tip. The latter contains a Pyrex tube as the inner layer just like the original but there is no vent on the mini. This double-layer insulation, however, will keep your vapor warm and away from sensitive skin.

Multiple Dimensions

SMOK’s Mini TFV4 holds up to 3.5 ml of e liquid, measures 73.5 mm long, and is 22 mm wide. This versatile rebuildable tank weighs less than 100 grams and the extensive variety of cores makes it compatible for use with a considerable variety of vaporizers without gaining size.
