The colorful, convenient, compact eGrip series from JoyeTech continues with their eGrip VT.
This all-in-one mod offers the same tank-plus-mod format as their first eGrip but with Variable Temperature Control. The JoyeTech eGrip VT works with Titanium, Nickel 200, and regular Variable Watt coils, all at the turn of a dial.
Turn the Dial
Instead of up/down buttons, the eGrip features a 360° dial surrounding the power switch. Using this, dial consumers are meant to select watts or temperature. An OLED screen and tank atomizer receive their power from an internal 1500-mah battery rechargeable from a tiny USB port using the cord provided. The USB port is covered by a little door to prevent dirt and water from getting inside.
Coils in the Box
Each JoyeTech eGrip VT arrives with three coil heads: a VW 1-ohm head; a Nickel head (0.2 ohms), and a Titanium one (0.4 ohms) plus the CL base. The eGrip VT supports resistance of 0.2 ohms to 1 ohm in Variable Temperature Control function between 100C and 315C (200F to 600F) but 0.4 ohms to 3.5 ohms when operated as a variable watt mod (5W to 30W). While that’s not a huge amount of power for an advanced vaper, the flavor and vapor production are pretty amazing given the tiny size of a JoyeTech eGrip.
eGrip OLED Screen
An eGrip VT also features an OLED screen to display watts, volts, battery charge, ohms, and temperature. Refer to this in order to verify your coil build or to remember the setting you just enjoyed so as to select this again the next time you fire up the JoyeTech eGrip VT. A CL coil head provides 0.5 ohms resistance which is moderate in the sub-ohm field.
Impressive Juice Capacity
This compact mod contains a built-in tank holding up to 3.6 ml of e juice amazingly enough. Your e liquid is visible through a slit in the frame, so you can determine your level regularly and top up as needed. The viewing window is located to one side along the front whereas the clear, bright screen is along a narrow side under the control dial. Although the tank tube is inside your mod, coils are still fully accessible. All you need are some tiny tools or potentially just a coin to gain access to all the parts, including your skinny metal mouthpiece.

In the Box
Your device comes with a removable mouthpiece, USB cable, and wall adapter. Everything together measures 99.5 mm long: more than the largest mods, but shorter than any mod plus an attached rebuildable tank atomizer.
Choose gold, black, gray, white, green, cyan (a shade of blue-green), or red. Colors vary according to the model you select, but skins are sold separately in case you like a mod but prefer a different shade of blue or you enjoy the prospect of changing your mod’s wardrobe periodically.
Other Versions of the eGrip
There are four products in this series, all but one (the original for up to 20-Watt vaping) featuring an OLED screen. One is the eGrip OLED-CL with Variable Voltage and Variable Watt functionality plus an RBA for building coils to about 1-ohm resistance. The CL head comes in two types: 0.5 ohms and 0.1 ohms. A CL 1 ohm suits those who prefer mouth inhalation whereas the 0.5-ohm coil head is for lung inhalation.
Neither one is interchangeable with the dual coil CS head for the eGrip CS which offers 1.5 ohms resistance and cotton coils. The eGrip, in its various forms plus accessories or all of them, are carried by many authorized retailers, but ensure you are buying the real deal.
Con artists love to present cheap versions of legitimate devices, take a customer’s money, then disappear before the tech inevitably goes wrong. Look for a serial number on the box or, when viewing online catalogues, choose a firm labeled as an authorized JoyeTech dealer.
