The eVic by Joyetech has always been a big name in the vaping community. Since the rise of the mechanical mods and even before micro coils were a widely used coil setup, the eVic has been a top of the line electronic mod.
It was once much harder to find a chipped mod that had as much functionality fit into a vape that couples the complex abilities with simplicity of adjustment, but with the DNA chips becoming commonplace, the eVic went from the best of the best to one in a field of many options.

As a result of the competition posed by the DNA’s, Joyetech needed to expand the capacity of their mods to utilize and put out more power. The answer to the need for a competitive edge on the already well-reputed eVic is the eVic-VT 60W. Instead of just variable voltage, or variable wattage, the eVic-VT is a variable temperature mod, also.
The eVic-VT measures temperature in Celsius and sports a 5000-mAh battery. In a departure from the cylindrical past of the original eVic, the VT 60w sports a box shape, appealing to the mass appeal other box mods have seen. Much like the VTR, rather than adjustment buttons, temperature settings can be adjusted via a spinning disc on the top of the mod, opposite the atomizer port.
In terms of color options, there are 3. Customers can choose from “Dazzling White w/baby blue accents,” “Racing Yellow w/black accents” (which looks quite orange), or “Cool Black w/red accents,” all of which feature what appear to be racing stripes on the sides as accents, lending the newest eVic a nice, sporty appearance.
The settings can be viewed on the large OLED screen, which shows remaining battery life at the bottom, the atomizer’s resistance in ohms above that, the power setting in watts or volts above that, and finally the temperature chosen to fire at in Celsius at the top.
If Celsius is not the preferred means of viewing temperature, Fahrenheit can also be selected. The temperature ranges go from 100C to 315C, or 200F to 600F. In variable temperature mode, the wattage ranges from 1 to 60 watts, while in variable wattage mode, the range is between 1 to 50 watts.
Another interesting adjustment that can be made is that instead of just seeing the battery displayed in a battery form, users can also switch to how many puffs are left, or how much time is left on the battery.
The eVic-VT has definitely proven to be a departure from the older style, exhibiting a myriad of new settings and a large variety of options. Much the same as the power settings and battery settings, the eVic-VT also contains two settings specific to the builds that will be used.
Kanthal wire can still be utilized, but there are also settings for Nickel wires, as well as for Titanium wires. The atomizer that is provided with this mod typically (the e-go ONE Mega VT-Ti) has either titanium coils, or Nickel 200 coils, working with the Ti and VT (Ni) modes respectively. Unlike 18650 mods that require spare batteries and chargers, the eVic-VT 60w is USB-charged, lending the user more freedom of charge (wall, computer, car, etc.).
With such a wide variety of choices as to how customers use this mod, the eVic-VT 60w has stepped its game up significantly, proving yet again to be a contender in the battle against the chipped mods. With a price tag around $70.00, it is certainly a struggle to find a mod that proves as consistent, versatile and capable as the eVic-VT.
Whether a seasoned vaper looking for an extra vape for the weekends, or a brand new vaper testing the waters and getting his toes wet, Joyetech has stayed true to their style and provided a product that will not disappoint.
