Kanger’s Subtank atomizer series has been popular from the start. It fits many mods easily and works effectively to produce big clouds of vapor.

Kanger quality is beyond doubt but now their Subtank Mini takes the original idea to another level. They squash it into a more compact form that suits small mods by Kanger and others.

Subtank Minis

Big Capacity

Even though this is a small tank, it measures 4.5 ml. That’s more than some of the standard sub ohm tanks you can buy. Mind you, the regular Subtank Plus by Kanger is a behemoth, to be fair. A Mini Subtank measures almost 51 mm tall without the tip and a little over 22 mm wide, so its profile suits 10W to 40W iStick vaporizers and other slender contenders besides Kanger’s own SUBOX and TOPBOX mods.

Coil Choice: Organic

Most vape manufacturers are taking the organic route these days, just like their customers when they visit the grocery store to buy fruits and veggies. There’s good reason to do this; vapor from organic cotton coils does not leave residue you can see: a gray, disgusting film. Image that in your airways.

Kanger applies organic cotton coils to their heads too. The very best examples of this special material come from Japan. Kanger also promises a longer coil life with their geometrically-shaped heads and bigger heating area plus more flavor: you will have to try the Subtank side by side with another mod tank and the same e juice on exactly the same setting to say for sure.

Controlling Air

It would not be a sub ohm vapor tank with airflow adjustment. Change the airflow control valve of the Kanger Subtank Mini by turning a knurled control built into the stainless steel bottom cap. It’s easy: one of 3 settings for little or lots of air. Kanger tends to keep things simple.

RBA Option

You can insert pre-built Kanger coils in several build types but Kanger also supplies a specially-made RBA atomizer deck for people with the skill to wrap coils. In other words, the Subtank Mini is versatile enough for any type of mod.

Choose a device with the TC setting and attach Ni200 or Ti coils. Now you can vape in temperature control mode. The RBA head is PEEK insulated and designed specifically for the Mini Subtank. There is another size built just for the Subtank Plus.

Coils Included

A Subtank Mini package from Kangertech comes with several coils for your convenience. Try them out with various mods and also with assorted e liquids. There is a 0.5-ohm coil, a 1.2-ohm low resistance coil for use with devices of limited power like a 15W Lavatube 3.0, and the Mini RBA. Replace those with stainless steel vertical organic cotton coils and Ni200 pre-built coils or buy bulk coil (Titanium, stainless steel, and Nickel 200 are best) from participating retailers.

More in the Box

Your Kanger Subtank Mini is made from glass with stainless steel caps. It comes supplied with a drip tip which can be replaced if you aren’t fond of stainless steel against your mouth or the wide-bore style. O-rings and other accents are red: a bright splash against sterile glass and steel seen through large viewing windows.

Glass is protected by a few steel panels forming rounded window frames but the windows aren’t slits like they are on an EVOD clearomizer. Your kit also comes with spare O-rings, screws and a driver, plus a spare glass tube for the low cost of around $30. Kanger has released a version in white with black accents. Pair this atomizer tank with a red version of the Kanger TOPBOX or SUBOX and you’ll create an eye-catching combo.
