SMOK’s famous, iconic TFV4 takes on a smaller size but an equally important role in its Micro form: Micro meaning “smaller,” but not “tiny” like the Nano TFV4. Those green O-rings are hard to miss but if you did, indeed, miss the memo here is the SMOK Micro TFV4 in summary.

Recognizable Design

Essentially, this is the same item as a SMOKTECH TFV4 except for tank’s size. It measures 22 mm across by 51 mm in height with 2.5 ml liquid capacity. This can be extended with a conversion kit.

Airflow is adjustable at the base and the tank is filled from the top. Essentially, you don’t need a taller, more capacious tank because that top-fill design removes the refill hassle normally associated with vaping at high watts.

Naturally, e juice is used up quickly when output is high and usage is ongoing throughout the day. With a top-fill valve accessed under a swivel cap, there isn’t that messy inconvenience to think about.

RBA Option

There is still the option to fit an RBA and build your coils independently or to select pre-built coils made by SMOK and sold by their authorized dealers. With this RBA deck, customers are able to build coils using TC materials and operate the tank with one of many sub ohm TC systems like the iStick TC 100, Sigelei Fuchai 200W, or Smok’s own R200. Always replace cotton with pure Japanese organic cotton and no cheap replacements. Vapor wouldn’t be as clean and there would be something to its flavor a discerning palate would dislike.

Other Elements

Tank caps still contain airflow adjustment valves. At the top, you notice valves to let hot air out before you draw and burn yourself, plus the AFC drip tip insulated with a double-barrel design. The bottom cap’s valves are for airflow and draw control.

Coils for the SMOK Micro TFV4

Use this tank with the CLP2, a 0.3-ohm Clapton coil. Try the STC2 Stainless Steel or a TFQ4 Quad Coil. Options seem limitless at first glance. As long as you know how you plan to use a mod (in TC or VW setting), it’s not a problem selecting coils. Their codes read like another language at first but vapers quickly get used to the jargon.

In the Kit

A SMOK Micro TFV4 arrives with either the R2 RBA or 5 coils.

There is also a starter kit containing a Micro tank plus SMOK’s R80 TC Mod.

This device comes in red black or white, measures 22 mm wide and 85 mm tall, and offers up to 80 watts of output.

It’s a TC mod, so you can make full use of the various coils available and really experiment with the difference they make. The R80 features an internal 4000mAh battery and chipset which prevents damage and danger like a short circuit, overheating, and low-battery problems.

A specialized system monitors the battery for efficiency and an OLED display depicts every element of your setup from output to battery power. Thanks to spring-loaded connection, the Micro TFV4 is just one of several tanks that fit here, but it’s the one an R80 TC was designed for being a SMOK product.

Use the micro port at a USB charging station to replenish your battery or vape this as a pass-through device. That port is also handy for upgrading firmware.
