If the box mod had to have a mascot, this would be it: a strictly geometric yet somehow soft and approachable box mod. While manufacturers and designers are meddling with mod design until devices resemble modern architecture or sci-fi props, this traditional style reminds vapers that futuristic and funky products aren’t necessarily better if more attention is put into fashion than function.

The Tesla 200W is a TC (temperature control) device both shiny and practical; capable. It’s not often a product is functional and fancy at the same time, but that’s what Tesla has achieved with their 200W TC box mod without going crazy.

Features of the Tesla 200W TC Box Mod

You should know your batteries by now, especially high-drain 18650 cells. You will need two of them to operate the Tesla 200W TC, so select good ones to operate it safely; perhaps 3500mAh and 30A. These cells will be put to use powering a screen, temperature control, variable wattage, and the safety of an on-board chipset. Install them behind a magnetically-sealed door with a soft pull-tab that makes it easy to get them out for recharging.

Temperature Control

Choose an atomizer tank compatible with Nickel 200 or Titanium coils and high temperature operation. Now, set your 200W box mod to TC mode and select somewhere between 200F and 600F. The device will reach your chosen temperature while supporting resistance as low as 0.08 ohms and adjusting wattage accordingly.

Vapers will notice this value rises steeply to reach your desired temperature (as high as 200 watts only) then comes down a little at a time as the coils become hot and retain heat. That is the beauty of a high quality nickel alloy or titanium atomizer elements: these metals don’t lose their heat rapidly or burn out swiftly either. Your days of dry hits have come to an end.

Threading is flexible to allow for several types of tanks, as long as they are 510-compatible like the Horizon Arctic V8, Uwell Rafale, or JoyeTech Cubis. The spring-loaded pin is made from brass-plated silver.

Variable Watts

What if you don’t have a Temperature Control tank or appropriate coils? Maybe you just like to work in watts. That’s fine: set your system up from 1W to 200W. That is extreme flexibility by anyone’s standards.

If the only coil build you’ve got left before you go shopping for more happens to be around 1.2 ohms, you can vape at 20W for a little while and extend your reach later. You are bound to truly enjoy the contrast when those 0.2-ohm coils are back in action after only being able to vape at low resistance.

Light but Strong

Tesla utilizes two materials to make a light, strong, attractive product: carbon fiber and aluminum. Carbon fiber is super strong but also light while the high-grade aluminum is cheap, light, and conducts heat effectively. Carbon fiber is responsible for the textured look of this device. Together these materials provide a device which doesn’t feel like a rock when you take it places and can stand up to wear and tear.

More about the Tesla 200W TC Box Mod

After reaching 150 watts or more, vapers can apply a “pulse” to the Tesla 200W TC, so ensure your battery can handle high amps beyond the ordinary operating maximum, usually 20A, and that they provide a low operating temperature for safety.

The display, situated between circular buttons, shows volts and watts or watts and temperature as well as depicting the reading from its built-in resistance meter. The Tesla 200W will not turn on at all if there is no atomizer or the atomizer coil is built at lower than 0.08 ohms. This prevents a short circuit which the device also guards against along with reverse polarity, low voltage, and over-vaping.

Choose black, gray, or red for your mod if stock remains in all colors. Vapers pay around $85 for the system that’s a joy to look at and easy to operate.
