HCigar is a Chinese company, based where you would expect: in Shenzhen, the heart of vaping manufacture.
Their VT 200 contains a genuine Evolv DNA 200 chip. This surprises people who expect Chinese firms to choose the Yihi equivalent and serves to reinforce a fact which most manufacturers, designers, vendors, and users accept: Evolv makes the best, safest PCBs for vaping mods. Here is HCigar’s version of the trendy 200W DNA mod: their HCigar VT 200.
Safety and Beauty
This might be an attractive device but it has still got your safety in mind. Choose blue, black, or silver: each is equally prepared to safeguard against an overheating battery using a vent at the most basic level and temperature control at the high-tech level.
Your box mod can only reach 600F, maximum, and only if you run it hard. Most people use their temperature-controlled device at a level of 450F, with 200F being the lowest possible value.
Lightweight Heavy Hitter
Choose from 5 to 200 watts. This box sounds like a heavy-duty machine, but the HCigar VT 200 weighs about 0.15 kg and measures less than 4″ long. There are smaller box mods, but that’s still very compact. The VT 200’s lightness is owing to an aluminum frame which might sound flimsy but is surprisingly sturdy.
Amazing PCB from Evolv
The DNA 200 chip is responsible for everything your mod is capable of. That goes for resistance monitoring, adjustable watts, and temperature control. Safety features like overcharge protection are made possible by the PCB which also controls your screen.
Using the HCigar VT 200 and a compatible tank, it is possible to reach 0.1 ohms or up to 2 ohms, but just 0.2 ohms with a Kanthal coil in variable wattage mode. You need a Ni200 temperature-sensitive coil for temperature-controlled vaping and the PCB can tell what type of coil you are using: it’s very smart.
Control Orientation
Switches and the screen are all placed down one side of the box: a narrow side where they will not be covered or accidentally activated by your hand. It might seem like a random aesthetic choice to place a firing switch above the screen followed by two little up and down switches, but if these were placed anywhere else they could be covered by the palm or your hand and depressed by mistake.
Attach an Atomizer
Select one of the industry’s many excellent atomizers such as the UD Zephyrus, Horizon Phantom, or Smok TFV4. Any of these and several others will supply you with quality vapor, airflow control, many resistance options, and the cleanliness of stainless steel and glass. Silver, black, and blue are compatible with all of these attractive products if you have style in mind. HCigar also makes many quality clones of top-shelf, high-priced RDAs.
Also from Evolv
The Evolv DNA 200 got a lot of manufacturers excited. They wanted to make versions of the 200W TC mod too, so you will not have trouble finding a box mod if HCigar’s offering is not your style. Hana Modz makes theirs in three colors. Lost Vape produces their version in even more shades. Volcano E Cigs came out with a Lavabox, soon to be released.
Consumers must be aware, however, that there are copies and clones out there. Always look for an authentication number which proves you are holding a genuine HCigar, Hana Modz, etc. You don’t want to feel complacent, only to discover an inferior chip is controlling your high-powered vaporizer after all. One clue as to a DNA 200’s authenticity is price: the HCigar VT 200 costs $175 with other prices ranging from $165 to $200.
