At last, the iJOY Solo Mini 75W TC Mod is a gorgeous product.
If you get tired of mods that look like they were built by a welder, the iJOY Solo will make a pleasant surprise.
It doesn’t come with a battery, so the price tag of around $60 to $75 might seem a little high, but you pay for style and function. iJOY’s new mod is a new version of the Asolo.

Coil Support
The iJOY Solo works with atomizers of all types and coils that include Kanthal, stainless steel, Nichrome, Nickel 200, and Titanium. Does that leave anything else? Maybe not now, but there’s sure to be a surprise new material introduced in the New Year. Coil makers have been too quiet lately.
With this variety of coil support, you can fire your mod at 0.08 ohms under certain conditions. For one thing, you have to choose TC (temperature control) mode. For another, the coil must be titanium or Ni200.
Range of Power
As for the power your iJOY Solo is capable of, the word “Mini” doesn’t do it justice. There’s a 300F range in temperature control mode (150C to 315C). Vary wattage from 5W to 75W. It’s possible to choose resistance up to 3 ohms except that’s more as a safety feature in case you make a mistake while building a coil. No sub ohm vaper’s going to go that high on purpose.
How Do You Know What Resistance You’ve Got?
You know what your resistance is by two things: one is the package your coil comes in; the second is your mod itself. The PCB inside operates a resistance meter and also displays resistance on a large screen. While 0.91″ is less than one full inch, in mod world that’s a giant screen.
It seems even bigger against a small body (84 mm long). The Solo is a dainty, pretty product which women will appreciate, especially if their eyesight isn’t so good and they need a big screen. Other readings on the display are power (temperature and watts) and battery level. Users can rotate the screen, handy if you are left-handed.
Light in the Hand
A metallic, shiny box mod does have the disadvantage of appearing heavy but that’s an illusion. While aluminum is sturdy, it’s light too. Your mod won’t become a stone in your pocket. Even though you’ve got shiny metal against your hand, a curved side makes for comfortable grip. Cover it in a silicone grip cover and this will soften the feel while preventing it from slipping out of your hands.
Buttons
The makers of the iJOY Asolo copy their previous ingenuity with the buttons on their Solo. It’s got two: a square and a T, both of which stretch around the mod as its shape curves. The “T” stands for “Temperature” or “Taste” and you press this to work in TC mode. Buttons are made of stainless steel which is hygienic and doesn’t rust.
Battery Charging
Since there is no battery in the mod when you buy it, you will be able to keep one ready in your cupboard and swap that with the cell that needs recharging. If the battery was built in, the Solo wouldn’t be wireless for 90 minutes at a time. You would have to plug the whole mod into a USB charging outlet like your computer.
Even if that meant you could use it as a pass-through vaporizer, wireless vaping is more convenient. Release your battery from behind a magnetic cover (no screws). A USB port on the frame gives you the choice of keeping an 18650 battery on board at all times. The iJOY Solo Mini 75W TC Mod comes with a warranty card, silicone sleeve, and a USB cable.
