A new device has been added to the VOX line by the folks at VaporFi: their VOX 100 TC.
Some names give the whole game away and that is pretty much the case here. This is a VOX mod: a variable box-style vaporizer.
It is a high-output device with TC (temperature control) function. VaporFi designed the VOX line so you know this is a quality piece of vaping workmanship and the company supplies lots of compatible parts too. Learn more about the VaporFi VOX 100 TC Mod right here.
On Pre-Order
The VOX 100 TC has not been released yet but VaporFi is offering pre-orders for $179.99. This only includes the mod and a USB cable but the battery is pre-installed.
Still, you could buy something comparable for less: around $100. What’s to keep you from switching to Joye, Innokin, or SMOK? If you have had a good experience with VaporFi before, not to mention some of the perks of customer loyalty, those factors keep you from trying a new company.
VaporFi supplies discounts of all kinds such as reward points and coupon codes. New customers can take advantage of a discount offered for signing up for their e-newsletter and placing an order.
Details of the VaporFi VOX 100 TC Mod
As has been said above, a lot of details are in the name. This is a 100-watt mod, so you can fire sub ohm atomizers and use high-vegetable glycerin e juice. VaporFi conveniently makes several flavors of premium e liquid plus their very tasty standard line.
Where looks are concerned this one might put you in mind of household projects involving metal. The box is made from a zinc alloy, not anti-corrosive stainless steel, but could pass for brushed steel.
VaporFi describes this as an aerodynamic mod. In other words, there’s nothing decorative about its looks or external features; nothing eye-catching. A symmetrical shape provides an even appearance and rounded sides offer comfort in the hand.
More Metal Inside
A box mod connects with atomizers via the threading well where an electrode sticks through to connect with the tank. This electrode is made from silver plated with brass, designed to promote strong and consistent electrical conduction. The threading well is 510-threaded so you could use a VOX-compatible tank from VaporFi or one of several models coming out of Shenzhen such as the Heracles or Arctic.
Protective Features
Vaporfi’s VOX 100 TC Mod is protected against lots of potential problems. The battery isn’t included, so you will have to be careful about the way you place batteries into the box. Reversing plus and minus could lead to problems except that the chip inside your VOX 100 features a reverse-battery safeguard. It will also protect you from low voltage, high input voltage, and short circuit. There’s a locking option too.
Modes
The VOX 100 TC provides the option of running in TC mode but you aren’t obligated. Say you forget to buy temperature-sensitive coils but you have Kanthal sitting around. This will do nicely to build sub-ohm resistance and operate in Variable Wattage format. The screen will show you how the mod is operating.
OLED Display Screen
APVs without high-tech internal chips don’t display details on a screen. Display screens are becoming very sophisticated: crisp and clear with lots of information. The digital screen seen here will show you volts, watts, temperature, resistance, and battery power. You’re never guessing as to what wattage you set or whether your resistance is set correctly.
Resistance Thresholds
Since VaporFi has designed a TC mod, you can now successfully handle seriously low resistance: as low as 0.05 ohms. You have to be in TC mode using Ni200 or Titanium coils, but you’ve got the capacity now with a suitable tank like the VaporFi Bolt RDA.
